Parents:

1) Our students raised just over $100 in the $1 donation challenge for the O'Leary family. As a reminder, this was the family we observed at a solemn 9/11 ceremony while visiting the CIA on our Hyde Park field trip in April.

Our $100 fundraiser will buy a $200 patriot savings bond for the surviving child of this family, Michael O'Leary.

The FMS Student Council, thanks to the representatives from our team, informed them of this $1 challenge. They have generously offered to make up the difference needed to buy a $250 savings bond, which at the time of maturity would be worth $500!!

Thanks to all who have been involved. Your generosity has been acknowledged by those I correspond with at the CIA, and they are now in the process of speaking to the O'Leary family for us. I will update you when we know more.

2) The interim ended May 14th. Missed work should be made up by Friday, May 17. Names have been listed on the classroom chalk board for missing work. Students should use tutorial and activity periods to make up back or missed work.
