Happy St. Patty's Day!!

Students:

This week we will examine WWI and it's aftermath. The bitter results of this war are going to effect an entire generation of young people who rebel against their own parent's values. It is a hilarious decade that we will celebrate on March 28th with our "20's Day."

Parents:

Twenties day needs you. We have never asked for parent involvement before, but last year showed us that any additional help we can get in keeping our 20's day money safe from the hands of "gangsters," the better off everyone is. If you have flexibility, and can participate in helping run a "speak easy," a gaming table at the "casino," or buy and sell stocks at our "stock market," on Friday, March 28, 2003, then I have a job for You! Please email me at vititoww@guilderlandschools.org and let me know.

Chaperones:

Chaperones have been chosen, and a list of family names will be published here before the end of the weekend. Phone calls will also be made home to verify parent participation. A check for $63.00 will be needed ASAP. Look here for informational updates.

Parents:

The second Trimester Test is scheduled for the week of our Hyde Park field Trip. After-school review classes will be available beginning at the end of March. See the web-calendar for dates.

Projects

This week's cartoon is speaks out against any possible American war with Iraq. It uses a simple device to get your attention - the NCAA basketball tournament, better known as "March Madness." It plays with the meaning of this term, giving it an anti-war definition.
