Parents:

The single most important event in Social Studies during the month of December is the Trimester Test.

The Trimester Test is a September - December cumulative exam worth 200 points in this quarter's average.  This grade is HUGE!

Review for this test should begin  NOW.  10 minutes per night is a good way to go.  Students should begin by organizing past homework assignments, tests & quizzes, corrections, and curriculum guides in their binder.  After that, keep a list of unfamiliar work, vocab, etc, and ask questions in class.

Four optional out-of-class review sessions are available for all students.  See the calendar for the schedule.

Out of courtesy, the other core subjects are planning around this test so that students may apply themselves to the study for this exam.  Please help your student stay focused on studying goals and habits.
